Pick of the Day

New York Rangers to cover puck line 1.5 (+125)

Wednesday @ 7pm EST | NHL | NJD vs. NYR

The Devils have a challenging schedule, playing back-to-back games, first facing the Penguins on April 2nd, followed by an away game against the Rangers. The Rangers have been performing exceptionally well this season, boasting a 67% win percentage and averaging 3.4 goals per game, which ranks 6th in the league. In stark contrast, the Devils struggle defensively, ranking 26th with an average of 3.4 goals against per game. Despite a barely positive win percentage, the Devils face a tough away game against the high-flying Rangers. Additionally, the preceding game against the Penguins is expected to be competitive, potentially exhausting the Devils' starting lineup.

The betting line of +130 for the Devils, implying approximately a 43% probability of success, seems generous given the Rangers' superiority this season. The Rangers have beat the spread 55% of the time this year and previously defeated the Devils by 2 goals on March 11th. This suggests that betting on the Devils offers a worthwhile risk, given the potential payoff.

Dog of the Day

LeBron Triple Double against Washington (+900, FanDuel)

Tonight @ 7pm EST | NBA | LAL vs. WAS

Never bet against LeBron even when the odds are long. He’s in great shape despite his age and he’s playing tonight against one of the worst teams in the league (Wizards 15-61) who are ranked 30th in points defense (122.8 pts per game), 30th in offensive rebounds (12.1 rebounds per game), and 24th in defensive rebounds (31.8 rebounds per game). The Lakers are in a fringe position ranked 9th in the Western conference as they vie for a playoff slot. LeBron should work hard tonight!

On the Wizards side, you have not only a weak team, but a sleuth of injuries plaguing the team. Tyus Jones (PG) is out, Kyle Kuzma and Marvin Bagley III are day-to-day. Additionally, Jordan Poole is being plagued by a slump that saw him moved from being a starter to a bench warmer.

Betting on a Triple Double is of course a brave man’s game! LeBron has only gotten four Triple Doubles this year (6% of games) and only two Triple Doubles in the 2022-23. A safer bet would be betting on LeBron getting a Double Double. He’s gotten a DD in 37% of games this season and 39% of games in 2022-23 (+110).

TLDR: Wizards are weak, LeBron is fighting for a playoff spot.

  1. Bogdan Bogdanovic O 3.5 Rebounds (-125)

Tonight at 7:30pm EST | NBA | DET @ ATL

r/sportsbook Osubuckkwr has picked 9 of 10 picks correctly over the last 10 games, and Bogdan has covered this line 100% in the last 5 and 70% in the last 10 games. He’s only covered it 45% of the time this season, but he’s been on a rebounding hot streak.

  2. Baltimore Orioles cover -1.5 (+125)

Today at 1:05pm EST | MLB | KC @ BAL

r/sportsbook watchthemountains likes the matchup between pitchers Ragans and Burnes. Burnes and Orioles offense at +125? He loves it.

  3. Red Sox ML (-142)

Today at 3:38pm EST | MLB | BOS @ OAK

r/sportsbook drewgolf likes any team against the A’s these days. Pitcher Stripling has been struggling.

  4.  Rui Hachimura Over 13.5 (-115)

Today at 7pm EST | NBA | LAL @ WAS

Jason Logan of Covers is betting on late season pick up Hachimura who has averaged 17 points per game in March on 59% shooting. The Wizards have allowed the most points per game in the entire league (123 pts per game).

  5. Reds vs. Phillies U 7.5 runs (-110)

Today at 4:05pm EST | MLB | CIN @ PHI

Phil Naessens of Covers is betting on a low scoring game. Phillies have a good track record against the Reds. Phillies are also 5-0 off pitcher Wheeler’s last five starts.
